1. What if my system is not working properly?
A.G.S. is pleased to investigate any difficulties or problems you're having with your equipment. Simply contact our office to schedule an appointment with our customer service representative.

2. If there's a problem, can you turn my system off from the A.G.S. office?
No, we cannot access your system as it is independent unit and can only be turned off by using your touchpad.

3. My alarm system went off by accident, but I quickly entered the code in the touchpad and shut it off. I was expecting a cal from ADT but no one called. How come?
The systems allows a grace period for you to turn off the alarm before a signal is generated. This gives you the time you need to shut off the alarm and prevent a false alarm.

4. What happens when the panic or fire alarm buttons are pushed on the touchpad unit?
If you hold down the fire or panic buttons on the touchpad unit for 1 to 3 seconds, an alarm signal is transmitted to the ADT monitoring centre, and emergency services are dispatched immediately. You cannot cancel this alarm.

5. If my power goes off, will the alarm system still be functional?
Yes, in the event of a power blackout, the battery back up will activate to maintain your protection for several hours. In case your battery power is low, a low battery signal will be sent to the monitoring system so you can be notified of this.

6. In case of emergency, should I notify ADT first?
No, if you have an emergency, call 911 first. If you cannot call 911 first, the push the panic or fire alarm button on the touchpad, and ADT will dispatch emergency services.

7. Who is responsible for testing my system on a regular basis?
It is your responsibility to test the system and verify that it is in good working order. It's easy to test your system, just refer to the owner's handbook regarding this. If you discover that your system is not functioning, call A.G.S. and request an appointment for repair service.
